Production of virgin-fibre board is soon to be resumed in the Finnish town of Juankoski. Premium Board Oy, the new owners of the former Stromsdal board mill are planning the start-up of the cartonboard machine for 27 June. The mill houses one cartonboard machine with an annual capacity of 75,000 t and an offline coater. Prior to its shutdown in 2008, the mill mainly produced graphic board, in the future however, production will be focussed on packaging board grades for the food industry and tobacco as well as for cosmetics.
