Pressure on coreboard prices rises in Germany

The supply situation for coreboard has markedly eased in Germany. However, German manufacturers claim they have not yet acceded to their customers' demands for price cuts.

Demand has slowed down on the German coreboard market. market players report that delivery periods have eased noticeably since peaking last year.

Improved availability is putting core manufacturers in a new negotiating position, even though reports varied in the middle of February. Prices of coreboard offered by German manufacturers were reportedly not up for negotiation while prices of coreboard from neighbouring countries are said to have been lowered. Against this background, EUWID respondents expect that pressure on coreboard prices will increase.
