Pro-Gest restarts tissue production after downtime

Things have almost returned to normal concerning paper operations at Pro-Gest's mills in Italy. Tissue production has resumed, but not fully.

Pro-Gest has now also resumed tissue production at its mills after almost ten days of downtime. A company spokesperson told EUWID that the machines were restarted on 16 March. However, they were running at only half of their capacity at the moment, he added.

The Italian group had stopped producing tissue paper as well as containerboard at all its paper mills on 7 March as a reaction to exploding natural gas prices following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Recycled corrugated case material production was already resumed on Monday.
