Recycled corrugated case material manufacturers supplying the French market are encountering massive cost pressure; their calls for significant price hikes in February were thus all the more resolute. Most recycled containerboard prices jumped by €60 per tonne at various times during the course of the month. Rising prices for ordinary and sometimes medium recovered paper grades again in February sparked this upward spiral.
