Announcements of price hikes and special surcharges have been coming thick and fast for several months now. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February and the renewed surge in gas prices at the start of March, mark-ups seem to be coming more quickly than ever. A few market players are warning against a further escalation in prices. Some customers are already unable to pay the prices that suppliers were asking for.
