SCA will invest SEK520m to buy the remaining 50% stake in the Chilean tissue and hygiene products manufacturer Papeles Industriales S.A. (PISA). The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of April making PISA fully owned subsidiary of SCA, the Swedish company says.

According to SCA, PISA is primarily operating in the consumer tissue and AFH segments and holds a strong position on the Chilean market. The company runs one production facility in Santiago de Chile and has over 400 employees.

SCA entered the joint venture partnership with the PISA Group in 2003 buying a 50% stake in the company for approximately SEK470m.
