Skjern Papirfabrik upgrades BM 1 with Toscotec

The rebuild aims at increasing drying capacity of the board machine by over 20% and improving web run stability, says Toscotec.

Denmark's recycled board manufacturer Skjern Papirfabrik has tapped Toscotec for a dryer section rebuild of the BM 1. According to the Italian paper machinery supplier, the order will be delivered in the third quarter of the year with Toscotec taking responsibility for onsite erection, commissioning and start-up assistance.

The Skjern mill houses one board machine with an installed capacity of 65,000 tpy of recycled board for packaging and graphic applications. Skjern Papirfabrik produces coreboard, greyboard and liner grades in basis weights of 90-450 g/m².
