The climate on Britain's woodfree uncoated paper market has altered over the past few months. One symptom of this change is the latest round of price hikes that took effect from September and was completed in October. Quite a few comments by market insiders indicated that demand is still pretty good and the British market is deemed to be relatively strong in Europe. However, a number of producers and other market players reported that prices had come under fire, especially for uncoated reels.
