Recycled pulp producer Vertaris will be under court observation for another month. The mill's future thus remains unclear.

The observation period for French recycled pulp manufacturer Vertaris has been extended again to 10 July. This was confirmed by the company's insolvency administrator who also said that the future of the mill was still open. In April, there were said to be potential investors interested in acquiring the company.

Vertaris has been in receivership since October 2011. Since then, the observation period has been extended several times. In December 2011, a company spokesman had announced that production of deinked pulp was planned to be resumed with a capacity of 140,000 tpy but that production of insulation material for the building industry would probably be dispensed with. Until recently, Vertaris also manufactured recycled graphic paper with a capacity of 140,000 tpy but the company abandoned paper production at the end of last year.
