ÅR Packaging acquires K+D and Rlc Packaging to grow healthcare and beauty packaging business

The acquisition is part of ÅR Packaging's strategy to expand its position in selected market segments, the company said.

Sweden's ÅR Packaging Group is set to strengthen its position on the packaging market for healthcare and beauty products in Central Europe through strategic M&A activity in Switzerland, Germany and Poland.

The company has acquired all outstanding shares in the Swiss pharmaceutical and cosmetics packaging company K+D AG. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition, ÅR Packaging entered into agreement to acquire all outstanding shares in the German Rlc Packaging. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including local regulatory approvals, ÅR Packaging announced.

German Rlc Packaging group runs four production facilities in Germany and one in Switzerland, and produces folding cartons for the beauty, pharma, food and confectionery industry. Through its subsidiary Colorpack, Rlc Packaging also holds a 36.7 per cent share in Poland's folding carton manufacturer BSC Drukarnia Opakowań.
