27 Sep 2018 −

Finnpulp Oy will continue planning its pulp project in Sorsasalo near Kuopio, Finland, after the administrative court in Vaasa reconfirmed the environmental impact assessment for the NBSK mill.

Finnpulp is currently working on basic engineering and financing for the project of a new NBSK pulp plant in Finland, which is scheduled to start operation in 2021. The final investment decision will be taken next year. The legal proceedings concerning the environmental permit have led to a delay of the possible start-up of the new facility.
