15 May 2020 −

Through the co-operation, Ahlstrom-Munksjö, K Group and Filterpak plan to increase supply of protective gear for civil purposes.

In April, Ahlstrom-Munksjö has expanded the offering of fibre materials for protective mask applications at the Tampere mill in Finland. Now the company is announcing a partnership with filtration products manufacturers Filterpak and the Finnish retailer K Group to produce and supply face masks for civil purposes.

According to Ahltrom Munksjö, "the availability of various protective gear is important as societies are reopening after the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic." The first batch of masks will be available at the end of May, the company said.
