Arkhbum-Pack to build paper bags plant in Kaluga region
Arkhbum-Pack will build a paper bags plant in the Kaluga region. The investment sum will stand at RUB2bn.
Arkhbum-Pack LLC and the Government of the Kaluga region signed a Letter of Intent on a joint investment project for the construction of a consumer packaging plant. According to a release by Arkhbum-Pack, the stakeholders want to invest RUB2bn (€24m) in a paper bags plant, which will be located in the Kaluga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and will create 200 jobs.
The document was signed by Vladislav Shapsha, the Acting Governor of the Kaluga Region, Nikolay Kalinichev, the Head of the administration of the Borovsky municipal district, Evgeny Veselkov, the CEO of the Kaluga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Irina Galakhova, the CEO of the Arkhbum-Pack LLC.
Arkhbum-Pack will install flexographic printing presses as well as several converting lines for the production of paper bags. The raw materials for the production, white kraft paper and board, will be delivered by Arkhbum-Pack's parent company Arkhangelsk PPM (APPM).
