Arkhbum Tissue Group starts operating with new TM

A new tissue machine has started up in Russia. The Arkhbum Tissue Group plans even more capacities in the years to come.

Russian company Arkhbum Tissue Group has commissioned its first tissue machine at its new plant in Vorsino industrial park in the Kaluga region of Russia. According to the company, the new machine offers capacity for 70,000 tpy of sanitary paper and was started on 20 December. Products include facial, toilet, napkin, and kitchen towel grades made of 100 per cent primary fibres. The mill will reportedly be supplied with pulp from the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (APPM) site at Novodvinsk.

Arkhbum Tissue Group is a subsidiary of APPM. The construction of a tissue plant had long been planned and was now implemented - but the project does not end here. The company wants to expand and aims at increasing capacities at the Vorsino site to 210,000 tpy of sanitary products.
