Baden Board starts insolvency proceedings

11 Feb 2020 −

The district court of Baden-Baden, Germany, opened insolvency proceedings under self-administration for the assets of Baden Board GmbH on February 1, 2020.

Lawyer Tobias Hoefer from the Mannheim law firm HST Hoefer, Schmidt-Thieme was appointed as administrator.

The cardboard and packaging manufacturer Baden Board has been in formal protective shielding proceedings since November 27, 2019. The declared aim of the proceedings was to clean up the balance sheet and to free the company from old liabilities in order to improve the performance of the two plants in Gernsbach and Weisenbach.

Baden Board had been to be part of Smurfit Kappa Group until Livia Corporate Development acquired the company in June 2018. Livia Corporate sold Baden Board to German-Czech Marperger Group in September 2019.
