Billerud Korsnäs to sell Beetham kraft paper mill

Billerud Korsnäs is concentrating MG kraft paper operations in Skärblacka in Sweden.

Swedish packaging paper and board company Billerud Korsnäs aims to divest the Beetham kraft paper mill in the UK. "Since Billerud Korsnäs' machine glazed (MG) paper business has primarily been focused in Skärblacka, the strategic importance of Beetham to the rest of the group has been reduced," the company explained.

Beetham mill has staff of 140 and produces machine glazed (MG) kraft paper for medical and food packaging applications. The mill has in installed capacity of 45,000 tpy and had sales of approximately SEK480m last year.
