High board prices increase pressure on folding box manufacturers amidst slow business.

If conditions on the German cartonboard market remain unchanged for the weeks coming, board producers and suppliers will have to struggle to keep prices stable. Especially in the GD board market, intensive pressure has reportedly built up amidst falling recovered paper prices.

Suppliers of GC board can also not take stable prices for granted in view of ample supply and falling pulp prices. So far, prices have been only reduced in project business, market players report.
