With a total volumes 2.22 million t, the 5th batch was smaller than many experts had hoped for. The total volume YTD now stands at 7.76 million t.
The "big three", Nine Dragons, Lee & Man and Shanying International, have received the lion's share of volumes, with a joint share of more than 70 per cent of the fifth batch and almost 60 per cent of total volumes of recovered paper approved for import to China in 2019 so far.
