Chinese RCP imports: licensed volumes now top 9 million t

Chinese officials released a ninth batch of import licences late in March enabling Chinese mills to import a further 2 million t of recovered paper.

The newly issued licences bring the total volume of recovered paper approved for import so far this year to 9.05 million t.

According to the licence data released by the China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center, Shanying was granted most of the new quotas, with licences for 704,007 t, followed by Lee & Man with 553,993 t and Nine Dragons with 152,186 t.
