Christoph Michalski to become new CEO of Billerud Korsnäs

Christoph Michalski will become new President and CEO of Billerud Korsnäs, while Lennart Holm, acting President and CEO, will leave the company at the end of 2020.

The board of directors of Billerud Korsnäs has appointed Christoph Michalski as new President and CEO of the company. He succeeds Lennart Holm, who has been acting President and CEO since November 2019. Christoph Michalski will assume his new position on 1 November 2020.

Christoph Michalski has been CEO and Executive Director of Asian tissue producer Vinda since 2015. Before that, he has held various senior executive positions within the SCA group and he also has experience from the FMCG sector working for Unilever and Fonterra. Christoph Michalski is a German national with a Master in Economics from the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel in Germany.

Lennart Holm, acting President and CEO of Billerud Korsnäs, leaves his position when Christoph Michalski assumes his new role, but will remain with the company as an advisor until the end of 2020.
