Domtar said it finalised the previously announced acquisition of privately-held Attends Healthcare Limited, manufacturer and supplier of adult incontinence care products, from Rutland Partners for €180m. Attends Europe sells and markets a full line of branded and private-label adult incontinence products. The company comprises a converting plant with eight production lines in Aneby in southern Sweden and ten distribution and sales centres in countries such as the UK, Norway, Finland, and Germany amongst others. It will be integrated into Domtar’s Personal Care division. Rutland Partners had purchased Attends for €93.5m from 3i in July 2007 and subsequently invested more than €25m in the company.
