The European Commission (EC) re-imposed a fine on Spanish envelope maker Printeos (formerly Tompla) for price fixing.
Last year the General Court annulled the €4.7m fine for insufficient reasoning concerning discretionary fine reductions. Printeos and four other manufacturers (Bong, GPV, Hamelin, Mayer-Kuvert) entered into a settlement agreement with the EC in 2014. As part of the agreement, the fines for Printeos/Tompla as well as the other companies were reduced by 10% by way of a leniency programme.
The re-imposition of the original fine addresses the procedural errors identified by the General Court, the European Commission said in a press release.
