Eldorado postpones start-up of Três Lagoas BEK pulp line

Eldorado Brasil has revised the start-up date of the planned BEK pulp line at the Três Lagoas mill. The 2.5 million tpy line is supposed to start operating in 2020.

Brazilian pulp manufacturer Eldorado Brasil expects to start up the new pulp line at the Três Lagoas mill in 2020. The line was originally expected to start operating in the first half of 2018.

The company announced it was currently awaiting the proposals from major technology suppliers to decide on the partners for the construction of the industrial plant. Eldorado has reportedly completed the earthmoving work and basic infrastructure of the project.

According to Eldorado Brasil's latest information, the new line will have a capacity of 2.5 million tpy of BEK pulp. The Três Lagoas site already operates one BEK pulp line with a capacity of 1.7 million tpy.
