Ritrama founders, the Rink family, will maintain ownership of the company's business in North America.

Italy's graphic and speciality paper company Fedrigoni is ready to grow its business on the market for pressure sensitive labels. The group announced it entered into an agreement with Italy's Ritrama group for the acquisition of Ritrama's business in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa.

The Rink family, Ritrama founders, will maintain ownership and management of the company's business in North America, and will continue working in a partnership with the rest of the group, Fedrigoni said.

The transaction, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter next year, is subject to certain closing conditions, according to Fedrigoni.

Ritrama boasts leading posotion among independent suppliers of self-adhesive materials in Europe and is considered one of the global players in the market with production facilities and distribution centres in Europe, Central and Latin America, China and the US.

The deal will combine Fedrigoni's position in the wine label market, and in the production of labels for the food, household and logistics markets, with the self-adhesive technologies of Ritrama, which is "one of the top producers globally of labels for the pharmaceutical, beverage and personal care markets," Fedrigoni explained.
