Feldmuehle files for insolvency again

Unexpectedly high costs for raw materials and energy have forced the paper manufacturer, which was only salvaged from insolvency in August 2018, to file for insolvency again.

The manufacturer of graphic and packaging paper initiated the opening of insolvency proceedings with the competent local court on 19 November 2018, this time under its own administration. It is the second time this year that the company finds itself forced to take this step. 

In a statement, Feldmuehle explained that the company's business development had been burdened more than expected by the high rise in energy costs and procurement prices for raw materials in the current year. Business operations would be continued.
