GD board prices in Germany start to crumble

The price stability on Germany's GD board market proves impossible to maintain. Markdowns have been reported in March.

After demand for GD II board started weakening in the fourth quarter of 2018 and did not really rebound in the first quarter of 2019, the first price reductions are now being reported. Initially, these applied to the object business, but now they are being seen throughout the market.

Some folding carton manufacturers said there were an enormous number of tenders on the market. This was not atypical for the season, but this year there were more than usual, they added.
