German coreboard market remains tight with prices climbing

Coreboard prices in Germany are soaring to record heights. Additional price increases emerged during the third quarter.

German coreboard prices edged higher again during the third quarter. The first coreboard producers have already unveiled plans to tack on another significant sum for October and said that they are not that interested in making concessions. A few suppliers are still trying to avoid quoting prices for confirmed orders.

Coreboard producers are compelled to take action because of pressure caused not only by what is happening to recovered paper prices. These prices remain extremely high in September with minor fluctuations. The developments in energy costs were reportedly much more drastic.
