Germany expecting record deliveries for corrugated board

19 Sep 2017 −

A good orders situations and high containerboard prices are leading corrugated board manufacturers in Germany to continue their efforts to implement price hikes.

Demand for corrugated board in Germany is booming. Industry insiders report that companies saw a renewed increase in deliveries in August of over 5%. If the trend continues in the current month then the third quarter would set new records, insiders told EUWID. Other market players are more sceptical. While it is true that production is in full swing, order inflow, although remaining high, is receding slightly, they report.

As far as prices are concerned, corrugated board producers are still trying to pass on the substantial paper price hikes.
