Graphic Packaging gets green light to acquire AR Packaging

CVC Capital will part with its investment in AR Packaging after five years.

Graphic Packaging has received all required regulatory approvals for the pending acquisition of AR Packaging Group. The transaction is expected to be completed in early November 2021, subject to the satisfaction of the remaining customary closing conditions set forth in the acquisition agreement, Graphic Packaging said.

AR Packaging is considered Europe’s second largest producer of fiber-based consumer packaging. Graphic Packaging announced its intent to acquire AR Packaging Group on 14 May 2021 for approximately $1.45bn in cash, subject to customary adjustments.
