08 Jul 2021 −

Turkish company Hayat Kimya is continuing to grow. The company has ordered a second tissue machine for its new mill in Russia.

Turkish tissue products manufacturer Hayat Kimya has ordered a new tissue machine from Valmet. The machine building company reports that the new TM is planned to be installed at Hayat Kimya's new mill outside Moscow in Russia, which the company erected only recently. The first tissue machine for this mill, the TM 9, is currently being installed.

According to Valmet, the new tissue machine will have a width of 5.6 m and a design speed of 2,100 m/min. Its annual capacity is put at 70,000 t of fresh fibre-based tissue for facial tissues, toilet paper and paper towels. The start-up is planned for the end of 2022.

Hayat Kimya has been present on the Russian market since 2015 and already operates one mill there - the Alabuga mill, which produces toilet paper, paper napkins, kitchen towels and handkerchiefs. The company is part of the Hayat Group. The Hayat Group primarily operates in the home care, hygiene and tissue categories for the consumer goods industry and has 21 plants in eight countries. Hayat has continued to invest significantly since their entrance into the tissue market 14 years ago. The group describes itself as the largest tissue producer in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa with capacities of a total of 490,000 tpy.
