Hayat Kimya is further strenghtening its position as a leading tissue paper manufacturer and continues to grow.The company has ordered a 70,000 tpy tissue machine.

Turkish company Hayat Kimya has placed an order with Valmet for a new tissue machine to be installed at its mill in Mersin, Turkey. It will be the second tissue machine at the site. According to Valmet, the new PM 8, with a width of 5.6 m and a design speed of 2,200 m/min, will have a capacity of 70,000 tpy of virgin fibre tissue. The Mersin mill produces facial, toilet and towel tissue. Hayat Kimya notes that demand for its tissue products is increasing. 

Hayat Kimya has been growing consistently in the last years. According to Valmet, which has already delivered six tissue machines to the company, Hayat has installed a new tissue machine every second year.

Hayat operates 18 plants in Turkey, Algeria, Iran, Egypt, Russia, Nigeria and Pakistan and employs 8,000 people. The company describes itself as the largest tissue paper manufacturer in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa with capacities of 490,000 tpy. The group primarily operates in the home care, hygiene and tissue segments for the consumer goods industry.
