Igepa pulls out of Italy,
Igepa Italia to be closed

13 Mar 2019 −

Igepa aims at strengthening its position in the market for paper and print products by concentrating on European core markets in the future.

German paper, packaging and printing materials distributor Igepa group is going to withdraw from the Italian market. The group's country subsidiary Igepa Italia would be closed on 31 March and there would be no continuation of staff or assets, Igepa announced.

Igepa explained its decision with ongoing consolidation in the paper and print products segment and the “fragmented market structure in Italy”. In the corresponding press release, Igepa mentioned its efforts to gain a relevant position on the Italian market as being “unreasonable.”
