After China, other Asian countries are also introducing stricter inspections on fibre imports. Indonesia has now become more careful in importing recovered paper.
Indonesia has imposed 100% pre-shipment inspections on non-toxic and non-hazardous waste, which includes recovered paper. In a note to exporters, inspection company Cotecna informed that from 1 April, the complete lot of the goods to be shipped must be presented for inspection.
