Cartiera Ariete will increase the annual production capacity by some 8,000 t of tissue. Start up of the new TM scheduled for July this year.

Tissue paper manufacturer Ariete Srl has ordered a new Toscotec tissue machine for its mill in Cava dei Tirreni near Salerno in Southern Italy. According to Toscotec and Ariete, the new TM will replace the existing tissue machine at the site.

The replacement would result in an increase in mill's tissue production capacity, Ariete told EUWID. The existing tissue production line has a capacity of 22,000 tpy of virgin-fibre tissue. The new TM would be able to produce up to 30,000 tpy, the company said.

The new TM is expected to be commissioned in July of this year, with installation work taking place in June. Production at the mill would be halted for a total of about a month, the company explained.

Ariete produces tissue paper which is used to produce sanitary and household paper products for the consumer market. The company is a part of Italy's Futura Line group, which converts the tissue produced by Ariete. The company added that the tissue it produces had not been sold on the open market so far but did not rule out that this might change in future.
