JPP buys British merchant Premier Paper

Shortly after finalisation of the Inapa-Papyrus deal, another acquisition of a paper merchant is being announced: JPP has taken over British Premier Paper.

Japan Pulp and Paper (JPP) bought the beneficial interest in the entire share capital of of RADMS Paper Limited, the holding company that owns the Premier Paper Group, for an undisclosed sum on 5 July. Premier Paper Group is the UK’s leading independent paper merchant.

JPP is a $5bn global company which employs 3,900 people. Its activities comprise paper manufacturing and distribution, but also sectors as property, ICT systems, renewable energy or recycling. It is best known in the UK for its publishing merchant Gould Paper Sales.

The existing Premier Paper management team remains in place.
