15 Sep 2015 −

Kajo Neukirchen group management believes in strong and profitable growth for Neenah Lahnstein.

German private holding company Kajo Neukirchen Management and Beteiligungs GmbH plans to acquire the Neenah Lahnstein specialty paper and nowovens mill from the US company Neenah Paper. Pending approval from the competition authorities, the transaction is expected to be closed in the autumn of 2015.

Neenah Lahnstein runs one production site near Koblenz, Germany and employs approximately 200 people. The company specialises in high-quality specialty paper and wetlaid nonwovens for applications such as secure documents, weatherproof outdoor advertising or wall panels and coverings. Neenah Lahnstein serves customers in Germany as well as in other European markets.

According to Dr Kajo Neukirchen, managing director of the Kajo Neukirchen group, the aim of the acquisition is "to steer the company towards high-quality, innovative products for industrial applications such as for the construction or advertising and media industry."
