Klingele Paper & Packaging Group has signed an agreement with Brazilian paper and packaging manufacturer Klabin to purchase the kraftliner paper mill in Nova Campina.

German Klingele Paper & Packaging Group is planning to enter the kraftliner market. The company has signed an agreement with Brazilian paper and packaging manufacturer Klabin to purchase the kraftliner paper mill in Nova Campina in the federal state of São Paolo.

The Nova Campina mills has been in Klabin's ownership only since March 2020, when it took over some of International Paper (IP)'s Brazilian sites. The current transaction between Klabin and Klingele is therefore subject to the approval of the Brazilian competition authorities for the previous acquisition of Klabin and IP.

According to Klabin, the mill has a capacity of 162,000 tpy. Nova Campina produces fresh-fibre kraftliner from eucalyptus and pine wood from FSC-certified plantations in the vicinity of the paper mill.
