Klingele Group now with own sheet-feeding subsidiary in the UK

Klingele Group acquires 50 per cent of British sheet-feeder Onboard.

German-based family-owned Klingele Group has acquired 50 per cent of Onboard Corrugated Limited and Onboard Investments Limited.The purchase price and other details on the transaction were not published.

Onboard employs 85 people at its plant based in Wolverhampton, England. It operates two corrugators: a 2.5m machine, running E, B, C, P, BB, EB, PB and BC flutes and a 2.2m machine, running E, B, C, EB and BC flutes. The company produces more than 100 million m² per year.

Onboard Corrugated Limited, the UK-based sheet-feeder and Onboard Investments Limited are to become wholly owned subsidiaries of newly formed Klingele Onboard (Holdings) Limited.

The company is now well poised for the next stage in their quest to become the leading independent dedicated sheet feeder in the UK. Onboard will look to continue to develop itself further on the back of strong strategic partnerships with like-minded independent box plants,“ the company writes.

Klingele operates two paper mills, twelve corrugated cardboard plants and eight processing plants, employing a total of 2,400 people. The group's turnover is put at nearly one billion Euros.
