Koehler orders PM for one-sided glazed paper

The new production line at the August Koehler facility in Kehl, Germany will have a capacity of 120,000 tpy of one-sided glazed specialty paper and is scheduled to start operation in summer 2019.

German papermaker August Koehler has contracted Voith to deliver a new production line for one-sided glazed specialty paper. Production line no. 8 will be installed at the company's mill in Kehl and will be rated to produce up to 120,000 tpy of paper.

The line will be able to produce a wide portfolio of thermal and flexible packaging paper and will be commissioned in summer 2019. The company will initially use the new line to produce items of its current product programme, while flexible packaging paper, which needs a longer qualification phase, will follow later, the company said.
