Sappi and Lecta announce price increases of 8 to 10 per cent for their specialty paper grades.

The unbroken trend of rising costs for raw and auxiliary materials and logistics is forcing paper manufacturers Sappi and Lecta to announce price increases for their specialty papers.

Lecta's increase plans will affect the company's specialty papers grades for labelling and flexible packaging. The new prices will be effective for deliveries from 1 September 2021 and apply in all markets, said Lecta.

Sappi Europe will raise prices for its portfolio of sublimation and inkjet papers.
