Mayr-Melnhof Karton invests in Gernsbach board mill

Mayr-Melnhof Karton (MMK) plans to implement several rebuild and expansion measures at its Gernsbach mill in September.

According to information provided by the company, a new calender will be installed and capacity will be increased.

At the Gernsbach mill, MMK operates the BM2, which produces coated recycled board (WLC, liner) with grammages between 250 and 500 g/m². The plant has a capacity to produce up to 275,000 tpy of board.
