Voith already supplied PM 5 to Modern Karton
23 Apr 2021 −

Turkish paper manufacturer Modern Karton, based in Ergene, will build a new paper machine with a capacity of 640,000 tpy of recycled corrugated case material.

The new PM 6 will be delivered by German engineering group Voith and is expected to come on-stream in spring 2023. It will raise the company’s total manufacturing capacity to almost 2 million tpy of RCCM.

Voith will deliver the complete production line, comprising the stock preparation and the wet end process, the paper machine as well as a winder with vibration damping and double unwind.

Voith and Modern Karton have already cooperated in the past. Voith supplied Modern Karton's PM 5 in 2015 and most recently upgraded the stock preparation units of PM 3.
