Mondi CEO to step down

Peter Oswald, chief executive officer of the Mondi group, will step down and leave the group at the end of March.

Mondi plc announces that group chief executive officer (CEO) Peter Oswald will step down as CEO and from the board of Mondi on 31 March 2020. Mr Oswald joined Mondi in 1992 and has been serving as the group's CEO since May 2017.            

According to Mondi, the group will now begin the process of searching for a successor to the CEO position. Mondi's chief financial officer (CFO) Andrew King, will reportedly take on the role of interim CEO following the departure of Mr Oswald, and until a successor is appointed.
