Mondi plans to discontinue production
of industrial bags in Zeltweg

Around 100 jobs might be cut at Mondi's Austrian site in Zeltweg. The company is examining the possibility to close industrial bags production and focus only on coatings and films.

The Mondi Group intends to focus on the production of coatings and films at its site in Zeltweg, Austria. The company reported that talks had been started with the local works council to discuss the proposal to discontinue the production of industrial bags in Zeltweg at the end of 2018. According to Mondi, around 100 of the 400 employees at the site might be affected by the measure.

According to Mondi, this possible restructuring affects only industrial bags production and has no impact on the other two business segments at the site.
