According to a Bloomberg report, Mondi considers takeover of rival DS Smith.
Paper and packaging group Mondi is reportedly looking into a possible takeover of British company DS Smith, according to the U.S. news group Bloomberg.
Mondi is said to be in talks with advisors and the project is still at an early stage, writes Bloomberg, quoting an insider who is familiar with the matter.
Neither Mondi nor DS Smith have commented on the rumors. Together, Mondi and DS Smith would form a new giant with annual sales of more than €13bn and a workforce of almost 56,000 staff.
