Norske Skog appoints Niels Petter Wright new CEO

Norway's newsprint and magazine paper manufacturer Norske Skog has been under the ownership of Oceanwood Capital since the end of September 2018. Now, Norske Skog appointed a new President and CEO to continue developing the company's core business while exploring new business opportunities.

Norway's newsprint and magazine paper manufacturer Norske Skog is announcing a change at the helm of the company. The Board of Directors has appointed Niels Petter Wright as new President and CEO of Norske Skog effective 1 December 2018. He will replace Lars P. Sperre who has been acting President and CEO for the Norske Skog group since May 2017. Mr Sperre will continue to work for Norske Skog as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy.

Mr Wright had worked for 17 years in leading management positions at paper based liquid packaging producer Elopak, of which 10 years as the company's CEO. He resigned from the position in September 2017.
