October brings some stabilisation for softwood pulp prices on European market

While negotiations for BEK pulp contract prices for October were often still pending in the first week of November, many buyers and suppliers of NBSK pulp agreed on stable prices for October.

While BEK pulp buyers insisted on further price reductions, suppliers were adamantly defending stable prices. As a result, negotiations were still pending in the first week of November. However, a few BEK pulp contracts at reduced prices seem to have been inked already.

Suppliers of NBSK pulp were more successful in defending existing September prices, so most contracts for October signed in the first week of November featured stable prices.
