Koemans Verpakkingen is Optigroup's second acquistion in the packaging business in the Netherlands.

Sweden's Optigroup has acquired 100 per cent of shares in industrial packaging materials wholesale company Koemans Verpakkingen. The acquisition of the Dutch company will further strengthen Optigroup's position in the supply business with wrapping and packaging materials for customers in the transport, e-commerce, food and manufacturing sectors, Optigroup explained.

Koemans Verpakkingen had sales of €28m in 2020, according to Optigroup. The purchase price will not be disclosed.

Koemans Verpakkingen will reportedly continue to operate from its Bodegraven facility under the managment of the previous owners John and Frank Koemans. The company will become part of Optigroup’s Packaging business area and will continue to operate under its current brand, Optigroup announced.
