Production of FBB and white-top kraftliner at Metsä Board's Husum mill has returned to normal levels following a fire at the pulp mill's woodchip conveyor on 18 June.

The mill's FBB line (BM 1) and the white kraftliner production line (BM 2) have reached full production levels again. Paperboard production was run at lower-than-normal capacity during the pulp mill’s standstill.

Production at Husum pulp mill's hardwood pulp line has restarted on the weekend of 10/11 July and production at the softwood pulp line is currently estimated to restart by the end of this week. Normal pulp production levels are expected to be resumed within the next week.

The fire was caused by a malfunction in an electric device igniting the rubber conveyor in the wood chip feeding line.
