Paperboard to sell Norske Skog's containerboard in Poland


Norske Skog is preparing for its entry
into the recycled containerboard market

Norske Skog will start production of recycled containerboard at the Bruck mill in Austria at the end of this year.

Norske Skog has selected Warsaw-based paper mill agency Paperboard as the exclusive sales representative for the company's containerboard products in Poland. According to Norske Skog, Poland is a fast-growing packaging market and will become one of the company's important sales markets.

Norske Skog plans to start producing recycled containerboard on a converted paper machine PM 3 at the Bruck mill in Austria at the end of this year. Another paper machine is to be converted to recycled containerboard production at the company's Golbey mill by the end of 2023. At full capacity the two paper machines willl produce up to 760,000 tpy of testliner 3 and recycled fluting grades that will be sold under the Strato brand.

"With local organizations in Austria, France, Germany and Italy, Norske Skog is well placed to provide customers in most European markets with the products and services they require," the company announced.
